A GIRL’S TRAUMA

It all began on the day her journey in life was initiated, when the news of her birth was announced.

Is it a boy or a girl? Asked rhetorically by the relatives…It’s a baby girl. They grumbled silently “It should have been a baby boy”.

Even the so called father whose sperm was responsible for the sex of the child lost his happiness upon hearing that his wife gave birth to a baby girl. He had always been anticipating a baby boy.

The innocent baby girl was not celebrated the way a new born child should be celebrated because they feel she’s an inferior child.

Her grief had begun on her first day on earth and the only one who seems to appreciate her was her MUM. The only crime this innocent baby ever committed was that “SHE’S A GIRL”.

Her father never concerns himself with her upkeep and left the cute little girl to her MUM. She never knew what it feels like to have a fatherly caring. Instead, she would always get insults from him anytime she approached him for a need.

Whenever the little girl goes on an errand, she was always fascinated to see how other parents play and cherish their male children.

She so much desired to get a similar love from her own DAD. But NO! It was the complete opposite she got on a daily basis.

She would lock herself up and cry so bitterly because she just can’t figure out why she is being treated in an hostile manner.

Sometimes she would ask her MUM why her DAD does not cherish her. But her MUM would always give the excuse of “Daddy had a rough day”. A womanly response….

On one sunny afternoon, the little girl overheard her Dad angrily blurting out at her MUM that she is not worthy of being called a wife because she could not give birth to a baby boy who will carry his own name.

At this point, she realized the reason behind her DAD’s irrational attitude towards her and this destroyed her happiness.

It made her feel inhuman, she became isolated even in a crowded room and sometimes when she managed to smile, there is a huge grief behind it.

She would constantly ask herself what she has done wrong, what is my crime? The only crime she ever committed was that SHE’S A GIRL.

Hey there! Listen up…This write up is specifically directed at those fathers who have become venom in the life of their children because they are GIRLS.

You need to realize that if anyone was to be blamed for her gender, it should be You, because modern day biology clearly teaches us that the chromosome in the men’s semen is responsible for the SEX of the child.

It’s so crazy that in some culture, a woman’s inability to give birth to a boy renders her completely useless in her matrimonial home. It could even be the reason why she would be sent packing as though she’s responsible for the child’s SEX.

Some fathers would even go to the extent of killing the baby or sell her to someone who would enslave her and use her as a Sex slave just because “SHE’S A GIRL”.

It’s one of the most devastating things you will ever do by taking preference of a Male child over a Female child.

If you think having a baby boy will guarantee the continuous existence of your name, maybe you need to read about Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whose only surviving child was a girl. Yet, Muhammad is the most populous name on Earth today.

It doesn’t matter if she’s a girl or a boy. What matters the most is the proper upbringing you give them. And Guess what? A baby girl could end up being your direct visa into Paradise as espoused by the most beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW):

“Whoever brings up two girls till they reach the age of puberty, he and I will come on the Day of resurrection like this”, (and he joined his blessed fingers).

There is no such hadith for a baby boy, so wise up man and wipe out the tears of your baby girl because she’s your direct entry into paradise.
