MY DREAM - MY VISION

If you would ask anyone out there if they have a dream and aspiration which they yearn to achieve, it is most likely that you will get an affirmative response from each one of them.

But if you were to further ask; what is the vision in your dream? They will begin to stutter, and some would not even have a clue of what is meant by vision, because in reality, everyone dreams but only a very few percentage anchors his dream on a vision.

This is one of those aspects where we all err in the event of pursuing a dream:

Our failure to lace our dream with a vision will make us less determined in the pursuit of such dream and if peradventure, any obstacle comes our way, we will easily give up on our pursuit because we’ve got no vision.

Now, what do I mean by a vision? This will be explained using an analogy of a young guy who so much desired to break through the blessings of wealth (that was his dream).

He worked day and night tirelessly just to achieve his dream. He never considered taking a rest; all he knew was to work because he believed that was his only hope of ever getting rich.

When he was asked why he is so rugged and determined to be rich, he gave an astonishing response that could bring tears to anyone’s eyes:

“I am the first child of my parents, I have four younger siblings, and my parents are pauper (extremely poor). They can’t afford to send my siblings to college (higher institution). I am the only one my siblings look up to, in order to further their education. So, why should I not work to become wealthy, so that my siblings can go to school”.

This is the perfect example of a vision…He had a dream of becoming rich laced with a vision of sponsoring his siblings in their educational career.

You will agree with me that no amount of hostile factor can threaten this guy to give up in his pursuit.

Even if he sometimes entertain the thoughts of giving up, when he remembers his vision, he will definitely be jolted back into action.

It’s imperative for any determined dreamer to inculcate a vision into his dream because that is what will serve as a pathway towards the achievement of those dreams.

A dream that lacks vision is usually peopled with nothing productive, and it can be most likened to “embarking on a trip to nowhere” or “like a car fueled up, with no mechanical fault, ready to move without being ignited”.

As a writer like myself, our dream is to come up with varieties of productive write ups, but our vision is to inspire people through our write ups, make them realize the hidden fact behind a matter of difference and so on.

So, you see, we don’t just write, rather we write with a vision.

Hey there…Listen up. After reading this short piece, I want you to sit back and have a silent rumination over your dreams to see if it’s anchored on any vision.

If there is a vision in it, write down those visions on a wall or somewhere you will always see it, because that is what will always remind you of how essential those dreams are.

If there is no vision, you need to compliment those dreams with a vision because without them, your dreams are nothing but an empty dream. INCULCATE A VISION INTO YOUR DREAMS.
